How to uninstall FaceReady on Mac

Two steps, and nothing's left behind afterwards. The order matters, so do the extension first.

1. Uninstall the camera extension

In FaceReady, go to Advanced → Uninstall Extension (or press ⌘U). This tells macOS to remove the FaceReady camera. Do this before you delete the app — once the app's gone, the button's gone too.

2. Drag FaceReady to the Trash

Open your Applications folder and drag FaceReady to the Trash. That removes the app itself.

That's it

macOS finishes removing the camera extension the next time you restart your Mac. After that there's nothing left behind — FaceReady won't show up as a camera in Zoom, Teams or anywhere else.

Deleted the app first? No problem

If FaceReady's already in the Trash and the camera's still showing up, you haven't broken anything. macOS notices the app is gone and removes the orphaned camera extension by itself — it just waits for your next restart to finish the job. So: restart your Mac, and the FaceReady camera disappears from Zoom, Teams and Photo Booth.

Still listed after a restart? Reinstall FaceReady from the download page, press ⌘U to remove the extension properly, then drag the app to the Trash again. (Apple only lets an extension be removed by the app it belongs to — that's a macOS security rule, not ours — so there's no separate remover tool we could give you that would work.)
