How to do a full reinstall on Mac
A full reinstall is the reset button. It clears a confused camera extension and gets FaceReady set up from a clean slate. Do it in this order.
1. Uninstall the camera extension
In FaceReady, go to Advanced → Uninstall Extension (or press ⌘U). This removes the FaceReady camera cleanly, which is the part that matters — just dragging the app away wouldn't.
2. Drag FaceReady to the Trash
Open your Applications folder and drag FaceReady to the Trash.
3. Restart your Mac
Restart the Mac. macOS finishes clearing out the old extension on restart, so don't skip this — it's what makes the reinstall actually clean.
4. Install fresh from faceready.ai

Why this works. Most stubborn setup problems are the camera extension getting into a confused state. Removing it, restarting, and adding it back gives macOS a clean version to register, which clears the kind of issues toggling alone can't.
