What it is

A virtual camera that works on every call

FaceReady installs as a virtual camera on your computer. Your video app — Zoom, Teams, Meet, or anything else that uses a webcam — sees FaceReady as just another camera to pick from.

That means there's nothing to integrate and no plugin per app. You select FaceReady as your camera once, and from then on it sits quietly between your real webcam and whatever you're using, processing the picture on its way through.

What it does to the image

It eases the signs of age — it doesn't replace your face

The camera exaggerates the things that read as tired or aged: harsh shadows, sharpened lines, an unflattering flatness that the mirror never shows you. FaceReady reads each frame as it passes and gently eases those signals back — softening what the lens overstates while leaving your features, your expressions and your real skin where they are.

The important part is what it doesn't do. FaceReady is built on a residual technique: rather than generating a new, smoothed-over face and pasting it on top of yours, it works out a small correction and applies only that. Your own skin texture, pores and microdetail stay in the picture. The result moves and reacts exactly as you do, because it is you — just with the camera's harshness taken off.

Why it stays natural

Approaches that rebuild the whole face tend to look plastic — poreless, waxy, slightly off. By keeping your real frame and adjusting only what's needed, FaceReady avoids that. People on the call see a fresher version of you, not a filter.

How it's built

A neural network, running live on your own machine

The correction is produced by a neural network trained for this one job, and it runs entirely on your own computer. It uses the machine-learning acceleration built into modern hardware, so the work happens locally rather than on a server somewhere.

Running on that purpose-built hardware is what makes real-time possible. Each frame is read, corrected and passed on in the few milliseconds before the next one arrives, so the effect holds steadily through a whole call without lag or stutter — at the frame rate your video app expects.

You're in control

A single slider, from barely-there to a fuller effect

The amount is yours to set. One slider takes you from a subtle touch-up to a stronger effect — start low, find the level that looks right to you, and change it whenever you like. There's no fixed "younger by X years" being applied to everyone; you dial in what suits your face and the call you're on.

Where your face goes: nowhere

This is the part that matters most for a tool that works on your face. FaceReady processes every frame on your own computer. Your image is read, corrected and handed to your video app entirely on your machine.

Your face is never uploaded, never sent to a server, and never stored by FaceReady. There's no cloud step in the pipeline because the model runs locally — so there's nothing in transit and nothing kept. Privacy here isn't a setting you switch on or a policy promise; it's a consequence of how the app is built. The picture simply never leaves your device.
