How to use FaceReady with OBS or Streamlabs
OBS and Streamlabs treat FaceReady the same as any webcam — you add it as a video source. Open FaceReady first, set up your look, then bring it into your scene.
In OBS Studio
- Open FaceReady and make sure your camera and look are how you want them.
- In OBS, under Sources, click the +.
- Choose Video Capture Device, give it a name, and click OK.
- In the Device dropdown, pick FaceReady, then click OK.
Your FaceReady picture now shows in the scene. Resize or position it like any other source.
In Streamlabs
- Open FaceReady first.
- In Streamlabs, under Sources, click the +.
- Choose Video Capture Device and add it.
- Set the device to FaceReady.
If FaceReady isn't in the device list
Like every video app, OBS and Streamlabs read their camera list when they start. If you had OBS open while FaceReady was starting up, quit OBS completely and reopen it — FaceReady then appears in the Device dropdown.
One more thing worth checking on Windows: if you run OBS as administrator, try running it as a normal user instead (and vice versa). A mismatch there is a common reason a virtual camera doesn't appear.
