Help Compatibility System requirements

Minimum system requirements

FaceReady runs entirely on your own machine — nothing is uploaded — so it needs a reasonably recent computer to do the work in real time. Here's what you need.

Mac

macOSmacOS 14 Sonoma or later
ChipApple Silicon — M1 or newer. Intel Macs aren't supported.
Memory8 GB RAM
CameraBuilt-in or any USB webcam

Windows

WindowsWindows 10 or 11, 64-bit
ChipIntel/AMD (x64) or ARM (Snapdragon and other ARM laptops) — FaceReady ships a native build for each
Memory8 GB RAM
CameraBuilt-in or any USB webcam
GraphicsAny modern GPU or NPU helps the frame rate, but isn't required

Video quality

FaceReady outputs at 720p by default and 1080p when you turn on HD. There's no 4K option — see about resolution for why 1080p is the sweet spot for video calls.

Not sure if your Mac is Apple Silicon? Click the Apple menu → About This Mac. If the Chip line says M1, M2, M3 or M4, you're good.

On an older machine? Email our contact form — tell us your setup and we'll let you know honestly whether FaceReady will run well.
